The History of Mattison Estate

The Victorian Mansion was encased in stone to resemble Windsor Castle by architect Milton B. Bean

1936

The sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth acquired the Estate and reopened as an orphanage

1966

The castle featured as a location in the movie “The Trouble with Angels”

2001

In 2001, St. Mary’s Villa for Children and Families combined resources with Holy Family Institute

2014

St. Mary’s Villa for Children ceased operations

2019
